Group founder Mr Alapati Ramachandra Rao started making hand rolled agarbthies with “ Ambica Brand” way back in 1945 in Eluru very modestly and with the quality he achieved there was no need for him to look back . Over the years” Ambica Agarbathies “ has become house hold name and indispensible item in all sorts of religious rituals not only in Andhra Pradesh but in the entire South India as result of strong brand loyalty that was deeply established .

Assisted by business acumen of Mr Ramachandra Rao , the unit has extended it’s operations multi-fold till 1995, when his son Mr Krishna has taken over management of the business from his father and incorporated Ambica Agarbathies and Aroma Limited with a view to further expand operations with the help of sound corporate governance. There after the company has grown from strength to strength under able guidance of it’s Chairman / Managing Director Mr Krishna , popularly known as Ambica Krishna who with sheer dedication lead the company from the front and helped the company in diversifying it’s operations into Hotel, Infrastructure ,Power Generation and Entertainment sectors. The company has established two three star hotel one at Chennai by name” Ambica Empire “ and other at Visakhapatnam by name “ Hotel Sea Green “ under it’s Hotel Division. The company has also entered into power generation by establishing.

Mr Ambica Krishna had also involved in various social activities and was a Member of Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh, during the earlier period. At present he is holding the nominated post as Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation, Amaravathi. With his rich experience of over four decades he had always been a guiding factor for the group and was effectively planning and monitoring various business strategies in keeping the group at front in the foray of commercial arena.

M/s. ACP Industries Limited was incorporated during the year 1995 with Mr Alapati Vazra Ambica Prasad, Mr Alapati Ramanjaneyulu and Mr ANSVKM Rajeswara Rao as its directors with an intention to mainly for manufacturing specialised durbar bathies for adding a feather to the Ambica Group, with its registered office at #1005, 10th Floor, Minar Apartments, Deccan Towers, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad. However, the group is head quartered at Eluru, West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. The company manufactures the specialized durbarbathi through the process of mechanisation and supplies it solely to M/s. Ambica Agarbathies Aroma & Industries Limited.

Though the company was incorporated during the year 1995, originally the firm is in existence since the year 1945 as a proprietorship firm and partnership firm and thus the activity of the company is in existence for more than 7 decades. The company had established its manufacturing facilities at different locations at Eluru, Rajam and Adoni in Andhra Pradesh with total built up area of approximately 3,00,000 Sq Ft. The secret of success for the products of the company is that it blends traditional system of making agarbathies with modern facilities. The product range of the company includes Durbar Bathies, Incense Sticks, Herbal Bathies, Natural Incense, Dhoops and Cones, which are all unique products.

Along with the passage to time, the company has grown over leaps and bounds and diversified into various activities like trading in agricultural commodities etc., As mentioned above, the company is one of the gems of Ambica Group which had engaged in diversified business activities into manufacturing and trading of various kinds of agarbathies, trading in agricultural commodities and products, hospitality industry, solar power, wind power etc., The group has also ventured into infrastructure activity by constructing residential, manufacturing and commercial projects at various places like Chennai, Eluru, Rajam and Duggirala. The group has also undertaken and completed BOT projects from Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The group is managed under the able and dynamic leadership of Mr Ambica Krishna, who had the vision of taking the group into greater heights and only son of Mr Ramachandra Rao, who had started the activity of manufacturing agarbathies on a low ebb during the year 1945.
